Local field note
Pest Control in Parrish, Central Walker County
Parrish sits in the middle of Walker County and was incorporated in 1922, which makes it younger than most of its neighbors but built on the same coal country ground. Central Walker County is where we spend most of our working time, so Parrish is not a drive out of the way for us. The housing here is a mix of the town itself and the roads running out of it, and the two behave differently. In town, the recurring work is roaches, ants and rodents in older houses with crawl spaces. On the roads outside Parrish, we see more rodents and squirrels because of outbuildings and tree cover, and more mosquito pressure from standing water in low spots. Termites are a live concern across both, given the clay soil and the humidity, and that is worth a free inspection whether or not you think you have a problem.
