01 / program context

Why Commercial Pest Control Is Different

For a homeowner, a roach is a nuisance. For a business, it is a compliance event. A sighting in a commercial kitchen can mean a health inspection citation, a failed third party audit, a lost customer or a photograph circulating online. That is why commercial pest control is bought as an ongoing program with a written record, not as a single treatment. The pest control service record is often the first thing an inspector or auditor asks to see.

A restaurant with rodent activity can review our rodent control service, while a facility manager comparing broader coverage can read about general pest control and termite control.

What Is Included in a Pest X Commercial Program

01

Inspection first

Every program starts with a walkthrough of the property. We identify the pests, the entry points, the harbourage areas and the conditions that are feeding the problem.

02

Written scope of service

You get a written scope listing the areas covered, the service frequency and the devices placed, before any work begins.

03

Scheduled service

Recurring visits on a schedule agreed with you, with interior and exterior treatment as the program requires.

04

Mapped monitoring devices

Exterior tamper resistant stations and interior monitors where they are needed, numbered and mapped so nothing is missed and everything is accounted for.

05

Service reports

A written report after every visit covering what was found, what was treated and what we recommend.

06

Re-service between visits

If you see a pest between scheduled visits, call and we come back. That is part of the program.

03 / facilities we serve

Industries We Serve

Restaurants and food service

Commercial kitchens, dining rooms, storage and waste areas. We plan around your service hours so a technician is not in the dining room at the wrong time, and we keep the documentation your health inspector expects to see.

Healthcare and senior living

Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, assisted living and medical offices. These are sensitive environments for both products and discretion, and facilities are routinely surveyed against pest control standards, so the paperwork matters as much as the treatment.

Warehouses and light manufacturing

Distribution, storage, loading docks and production support areas. Exterior tamper resistant stations, mapped interior devices and a documented program built around audit requirements.

Grocery, convenience and retail

Sales floors, back stock, coolers and receiving areas. Stored product pests, rodents and flies are the recurring problems, and they need a program rather than a reaction.

Offices, banks and professional suites

Break rooms, storage and common areas. Low disruption scheduling, discretion and clean treatment areas.

Property management and multi-family

Apartment communities, rentals and turnover units. One agreement can cover multiple properties with a single point of contact and per location reporting.

Schools and childcare

Classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums and playground perimeters, scheduled around the school calendar and student hours.

Churches and community buildings

Sanctuary, fellowship hall, kitchen and storage scheduled around services and events.

Outdoor pest pressure can vary by facility and season. See our mosquito control service for properties with outdoor areas, and our bed bug control service when a lodging, office or residential property needs a separate response.

Documentation You Can Hand an Inspector or Auditor

This is the part of commercial pest control that homeowners never think about and facility managers think about first. Every Pest X account can receive:

We support facilities working to health department standards and to third party food safety audit requirements such as SQF, BRCGS and AIB. Pest X is not certified to those schemes, the facility is. Our job is to keep the records those reviews ask for. We do not promise that a facility passes an audit. We supply the support and the documentation, and the outcome is not ours to give.

05 / vendor information

Licensing and Insurance

Pest X is licensed by the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries to provide professional pest control services. On request we provide our license information, a certificate of insurance naming your organisation as additional insured, and safety data sheets for every product used at your property. Tell us what your vendor onboarding requires and we will supply it.

For location specific service, see Jasper pest control or Birmingham pest control. Facilities with residential units can also review residential pest control options.

How Commercial Pricing Works

Commercial pest control is priced by program, not by visit. There is no flat rate, because a small office and a loading dock do not need the same work. Your quote is based on:

Every quote starts with a walkthrough. We look at the property before we give you a number, and we will tell you plainly what the work involves. You can review the broader Pest X pricing approach before you contact us.

Locally owned and family operated. Serving businesses and institutions across Walker, Winston and Jefferson Counties.

07 / common questions

Commercial Pest Control FAQs

Is one time treatment enough for a business?

For an active infestation, no. Most commercial problems need an initial cleanout plus follow up visits, and a recurring program to stop them returning. German roach elimination in a commercial kitchen is a good example, it is never a single visit job.

Can you service after hours so my customers never see a technician?

Yes, where the property allows it. After hours service is scheduled through your coordinator, who confirms the window with you.

Do you provide documentation for the health inspector?

Yes. Every visit generates a written service report, and we can provide device maps, sighting logs, product labels and license information for your records.

Can you cover multiple locations under one agreement?

Yes. Multi site accounts can run under a single agreement with one point of contact and per location reporting.

Are you licensed and insured?

Pest X is licensed by the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries, and a certificate of insurance naming your organisation as additional insured is available on request.

Can you treat safely in food handling areas?

Yes. We use EPA-registered products applied according to label, and placement and timing are planned around food areas and production schedules.

How much does commercial pest control cost?

It depends on the size of the property, how often you need service, the pest pressure, the documentation you require and your operating hours. Every quote starts with a walkthrough.

Do we need a contract?

Commercial programs are normally recurring agreements, and the terms are set out in writing before work begins. If you need a different arrangement, tell us and we will discuss it.

What happens if we see a pest between scheduled visits?

Call us and we come back. Re-service between visits is part of the program.

Can you support a Joint Commission survey or a third party food safety audit?

We provide the records those reviews look for, including the service agreement, licensing, service reports, device maps and corrective action documentation. We do not certify facilities, we support the program they already run.

What do you do about rodents on a loading dock?

Exterior tamper resistant stations, interior mechanical traps where they are appropriate, devices numbered and mapped, and exclusion recommendations for doors and other entry points.

What do we need to get started?

A walkthrough. Tell us your business type, how many locations you have, roughly how large they are, whether you have audit or inspection requirements and what service window suits you. We will look at the property and put a written scope together.
